MDCAT Postponed Nationwide: New Date Set for October 26

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially announced the rescheduling of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) across Pakistan. Originally set for October 5, the exam will now be held on Sunday, October 26.
The decision was made on the directive of Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal, who emphasized that the change was aimed at accommodating students affected by the devastating floods. According to PMDC officials, the revised date was finalized after consultations with universities nationwide to ensure consensus among stakeholders.
The examination will still be conducted under respective provincial universities: University of Health Sciences (Lahore) for Punjab, IBA Sukkur for Sindh, Khyber Medical University (Peshawar) for KP, and University of Balochistan (Quetta) for Balochistan. Students from Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir will sit the test under Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.
Minister Mustafa Kamal reassured candidates that the government is prioritizing their well-being, stating: “The exam date was changed purely in the interest of students affected by floods.”
