Mardan Commemorates Police Martyrs Day with Deep Reverence

On August 4, 2024, Mardan observed Police Martyrs Day with deep reverence and respect. The day began with Quran recitation at the Police Lines Mardan mosque for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks. Following this, DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi and RPO Mardan Najib Rehman along with other police officials, paid tribute at the Police Martyrs Memorial, laying flowers and offering prayers.

A dignified ceremony was held at Ilyas Grace Marquee Hall in Mardan, attended by RPO Mardan Region Najib Rehman, Commissioner Mardan Muhammad Ayaz, DPO Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi, and other high-ranking police and district officials. National Assembly members Ali Muhammad Khan and Abdul Salam Khan, along with the President of the Mardan Traders Association Zahid Shah, Ihsan Bacha, and other distinguished social and political personalities, were also present.

In his address, DPO Zahoor Babar Afridi emphasized the nation’s gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of the police martyrs, whose bravery has written a story of peace with their blood. RPO Najib Rehman and other speakers praised the martyrs’ undying dedication and sacrifices in golden words. The ceremony included national songs and a special documentary on the police martyrs. Gifts were distributed among the families and children of the martyrs, and special prayers were offered for the martyrs’ ranks and the nation’s security.
