Mardan Board Girls Shine Nationwide with One Gold and Two Silver Medals at National Sports Carnival
Mardan Educational Board’s female athletes made a spectacular mark at the All Pakistan Girls Sports Carnival 2024, securing one gold medal in volleyball and two silver medals in football and basketball. The prestigious national-level sports event was held in Islamabad from October 18 to 20 and featured over 4,000 female athletes from across the country.
The highlight of the tournament was the outstanding performance of Mardan Board’s volleyball team, which won gold with a clean 3-0 victory. In football and basketball, the Mardan Board teams showcased their talent and determination, advancing to the finals and earning two silver medals.
Chairman of the Mardan Educational Board, Professor Jehan Zeb Khan, expressed immense pride in the athletes’ achievements, stating that these victories are a reflection of his vision to provide equal opportunities for women in education and sports. He added that this national success not only elevates the board but also brings great pride to the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
