Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has announced her new memoir Finding My Way, due for release in October 2025. Calling it her “most personal and honest” writing to date, Malala shared the news via Instagram.

“It’s a story of friendship and first love, of mental health and self-discovery — of trying to stay true to yourself when everyone wants to tell you who you are,” she wrote. While the world knew her name at 15, Malala says this memoir tells the untold version of her journey.

Malala rose to global prominence after surviving a 2012 attack by the banned militant group TTP. Since then, she has become a powerful global advocate for girls’ education and human rights, vowing to fight daily for the 122 million girls who remain out of school worldwide.

She has also spotlighted the crisis in Afghanistan, where the Taliban’s return to power in 2021 has led to a blanket ban on female education — a move the UN has labeled “gender apartheid.”

With Finding My Way, readers will see beyond the headlines and into the personal world of a young woman who turned her trauma into a global mission.
