In a tragic yet valorous operation, six Pakistan Army soldiers, including Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat, embraced martyrdom during a fierce gun battle with terrorists in North Waziristan’s Spinwam area, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday. The operation occurred during the night between October 4th and 5th, when the military launched an offensive against “Khwarij” militants.

Leading the operation, Lt Col Muhammad Ali Shaukat, along with five other soldiers—Lance Naik Muhammad Ullah, Lance Naik Yusaf Ali, Lance Naik Shahid Ullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed—fought valiantly but were martyred amid intense fire.

The ISPR reported that six terrorists were also killed in the encounter. The army reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating, “Sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our determination to wipe out the menace of terrorism from Pakistan.”
