Robert Lewandowski continued his impressive form as Barcelona secured a 1-0 victory over Getafe, extending their perfect start to the La Liga season. The Polish striker netted his seventh goal of the season, finishing from close range after capitalizing on a mistake from Getafe’s goalkeeper David Soria.

Barcelona dominated the match but failed to add to their lead, despite creating several chances. Teen sensation Lamine Yamal came close multiple times but couldn’t find the back of the net. Raphinha, August’s player of the month, also had opportunities, but Getafe’s defense held firm.

Coach Hansi Flick, who brought back Marc Casado and Alejandro Balde into the lineup, praised Lewandowski after the match. “For me, he’s the best number nine of the last decade,” said Flick, reflecting on their time together at Bayern Munich.

Barcelona’s win restores their four-point lead over Real Madrid and maintains their 100% record in La Liga this season.
