Lahore Woman Caught Abusing and Killing Animals, Police Launch Investigation After Viral Videos

A shocking case of animal cruelty has emerged from Lahore’s Defence area, where a young woman allegedly tortured and killed domestic and exotic animals — including cats and rabbits — and posted graphic videos of the abuse on Instagram.

The JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter first identified the disturbing content and raised alarm. “We were alerted to an Instagram influencer torturing animals on camera,” the shelter posted.

Upon receiving the complaint, ASP Shehrbano Naqvi coordinated an urgent raid at the suspect’s residence. “The scene was horrifying,” said the police. “Cigarettes were scattered, and animals were kept in abusive, inhumane conditions.”

Rabbits, exotic birds, and cats were found alive but traumatized. The woman, reportedly mentally disturbed, was shifted to a psychiatric facility, while a formal FIR has been registered against her.

ASP Shehrbano urged the public not to entrust pets to individuals with untreated mental illness. “If you know someone mentally unwell, please discourage them from keeping animals,” she appealed. “Animal cruelty is not just a moral issue — it’s a social danger.”

Rescued animals are now in the care of JFK Shelter and PARC, while the wild species have been handed over to the Wildlife Department.
