Lahore Sees Major Drop in Vehicle Snatching and Robbery Cases in 2025

In a remarkable development, the Lahore Police Operations Department has recorded an unprecedented drop in high-profile crimes during the first six months of 2025.
According to the comparative statistics, vehicle snatching cases fell from 51 in 2023 to just 15 in 2025, marking a 71% reduction, while a 35% drop was observed compared to 2024.
Even more striking is the decline in robbery incidents, which plummeted from 12,797 in 2023 to only 2,443 in 2025, representing an 81% improvement compared to 2023 and 69% compared to 2024.
This dramatic decline is being attributed to proactive policing, better surveillance, increased patrolling, and swift coordination between intelligence and field units. The Lahore Police Ops Department is now being seen as a benchmark for urban crime reduction in Pakistan.
