Lahore police have arrested three individuals in the Hanjarwal area on charges of illegally confining animals, starving them, and killing several kittens.

According to police officials, the suspects — identified as Ali Raza, Kashif, and Hasan Ali — had established an illegal animal clinic in Marghzar Colony. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid on the premises and recovered 10 cats, three female dogs, and their puppies. During the operation, five kittens were found dead.

The First Information Report (FIR) states that the suspects admitted to recording videos of the confined animals and uploading them on social media platforms. Police further revealed that Hasan Ali was posing as a qualified veterinary doctor and was personally examining and treating animals without any legal authority or medical license.

Several pregnant cats were also rescued during the raid and were found to be in critical condition due to severe neglect and starvation. The rescued animals were shifted to a safer location for medical care and rehabilitation.

Hanjarwal Police registered a case against the suspects on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Bilal Yahya. All three accused have been taken into custody, and a formal investigation has been launched to determine the full extent of the abuse and any possible involvement of other individuals.

Police officials stated that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in animal cruelty and illegal medical practices.
