KP Police Deploys Anti-Drone Technology in Fight Against Terrorism

In a major technological leap in counter-terrorism efforts, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has officially launched anti-drone technology to tackle modern security threats.
According to the Central Police Office in Peshawar, the move aims to enhance operational capability in fighting terrorism across the province. For the first time, an anti-drone gun was deployed during a terrorist operation in Bannu, which had been dispatched from Peshawar.
The use of this gun reportedly yielded positive results, helping to intercept drone activity and limit the terrorists’ movement. In light of its success, additional southern districts in KP are now being equipped with similar systems.
Police officials stated that this advancement will not only strengthen the province’s security apparatus but also neutralize evolving terrorist tactics, particularly those involving drone surveillance or attacks.
