King Charles and Prince William Reassure Princess Beatrice and Eugenie Amid Prince Andrew Eviction Drama
King Charles III and Prince William have reportedly offered emotional reassurance to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, ensuring that their royal residences remain secure amid the ongoing crisis surrounding their father, Prince Andrew.
According to The Telegraph, the King is currently in “advanced talks” with Prince Andrew over his eviction from the Royal Lodge in Windsor, after revelations surfaced that he had paid little to no rent for more than two decades.
While Buckingham Palace is attempting to persuade Andrew to vacate the 30-bedroom mansion voluntarily, King Charles has reportedly assured his nieces that their homes at St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace will not be affected.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told The Mirror that the King and Prince William “remain fond of Beatrice and Eugenie” and wish to shield them from the fallout of their father’s controversies.
“The King has made it clear that they are still welcome at all family events such as Christmas,” Bond added.
The renewed controversy surrounding Prince Andrew comes amid ongoing scrutiny of his and Sarah Ferguson’s long-standing ties with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“Surely they must now be questioning why both he and their mother continued an association with a convicted sex offender for so long,” Bond remarked.
Last week, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson agreed to relinquish their Duke and Duchess of York titles, but Beatrice and Eugenie will continue to retain their titles as princesses under royal protocol.
