The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has announced that all colleges in the region will remain open on August 5, despite the ongoing summer vacation. This decision has been made in observance of “Youm-e-Istehsal,” a day designated to condemn the actions of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

An official announcement from the department directed that colleges should not only remain open but also conduct special activities on this day. These activities will involve both staff and students, focusing on raising awareness about the oppression and atrocities faced by innocent Kashmiris at the hands of Indian forces.

The department stated that colleges will facilitate these activities to ensure a meaningful observance of the day. Students and staff are expected to participate in events aimed at highlighting the situation in Kashmir and demonstrating solidarity with those affected by the conflict.

The move underscores the region’s commitment to supporting the cause of Kashmir and ensuring that the plight of the Kashmiri people remains in the public consciousness. The education department has emphasized the importance of these activities in fostering a sense of unity and awareness among the youth.

By keeping colleges open and engaging in these activities, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department aims to play a crucial role in the national observance of “Youm-e-Istehsal” and in expressing collective condemnation of the ongoing injustices in Kashmir.
