Apple has officially confirmed the appointment of Kevan Parekh as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), taking over from Luca Maestri, who had served in the role for nearly a decade. Parekh, who joined Apple in 2014, was previously the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis. In his new role, he will oversee Apple’s global financial strategy, investor relations, and other financial operations.

Luca Maestri, who led Apple’s financial team since 2014, officially stepped down as CFO on January 1, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of significant achievements, including helping to double the company’s revenue and increasing its service revenue by more than fivefold. Maestri will continue to play a key role at Apple by leading the Corporate Services teams, which include information systems, security, and real estate development.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, commended Maestri for his immense contributions to the company during his tenure, praising his role in Apple’s significant growth and financial success. Meanwhile, Parekh, an experienced executive with a background in financial management at companies such as Thomson Reuters and General Motors, is poised to lead Apple’s financial strategy into the next phase of growth.

Parekh holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His appointment follows a formal announcement made in August 2024 and was confirmed through a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
