Kazakhstan Joins Abraham Accords, Trump Makes Major Announcement
U.S. President Donald Trump announced during a White House meeting with Central Asian leaders that Kazakhstan has officially joined the Abraham Accords.
Trump praised Kazakhstan as a “great nation with talented leadership” and said its decision marks a “major step toward global peace, cooperation, and prosperity.”
He added that more countries will soon join the accords, strengthening the foundation for lasting peace in the Middle East.
U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff had hinted a day earlier that a new country was set to join the accords, which aim to normalize relations between Israel and Muslim-majority nations.
The Abraham Accords, first signed in 2020 during Trump’s first term, initially included the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan.
