Jafar Express Service Resumed After 17 Days, First Train Departs

After being suspended for 17 days, the Jafar Express train service has finally resumed. The first train departed from Quetta to Peshawar, with Provincial Assembly Member Jamal Shah Kakhar sending it off.

The Jafar Express is composed of 10 coaches, carrying 400 passengers on its journey to Peshawar. Meanwhile, the Jafar Express from Peshawar to Quetta is also en route.

The train, which had been suspended for 16 days, was sent off with 280 passengers aboard, under the supervision of Federal Minister Amir Maqam.

Speaking to Aaj News at the Multan Railway Station, passengers described their journey as pleasant and called for an end to terrorism in the country to ensure the safety of people’s lives.

It is important to note that on March 11, the banned BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) attacked the Jafar Express, taking passengers hostage. However, security forces launched a two-day operation, killing all the terrorists involved.
