In yet another devastating escalation, Israeli forces have conducted a brutal airstrike on the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza, killing at least 28 Palestinians and injuring over 70 others. According to Arab media, the Israeli military dropped nine bunker-buster bombs within the premises of the European Hospital, causing widespread destruction.

Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion was so intense that a parked bus sank into the earth, while panic gripped both patients and medical staff. Israel claims the target was a Hamas command center allegedly situated beneath the hospital. Reports also suggest that one of the objectives was to eliminate Mohammed Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

Rescue efforts were further hampered as Israeli strikes continued, targeting even those transporting the injured to hospitals. This led to a rise in casualties.

Amid the tragedy, former U.S. President Donald Trump, currently visiting Saudi Arabia, expressed concern:
“The people of Gaza deserve a better future. This nightmare must end. I stand for peace around the world,” he said.
He added that he is working toward ending the war between Israel and Gaza, calling the loss of innocent lives “unbearable.”
