Islamabad Court Grants Bail to Eight Chinese Nationals in Online Fraud Case

A local court in Islamabad on Monday granted post-arrest bail to eight Chinese nationals allegedly involved in an online scam targeting Pakistani citizens.

Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah approved their bail applications upon the submission of surety bonds worth Rs100,000 each.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) registered a case against the foreign nationals under charges of cybercrime and financial fraud. The case was based on a complaint by a woman who claimed she was defrauded via an online scam.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court accepted the bail pleas and instructed the accused to furnish the required bonds.
