Ishaq Dar Heads to Iran for ECO Ministerial Meeting
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will embark on a two-day official visit to Mashhad, Iran, to participate in the 28th Council of Ministers Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
During his address, Dar will reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the ECO charter, focusing on enhancing regional connectivity through rail and road development, liberalized visa regimes, and streamlined border procedures. He is also expected to highlight Pakistan’s concerns over hostilities in the Middle East, which pose a threat to regional peace and security.
Dar will sign the Charter for ECO Clean Energy Center, underscoring Pakistan’s dedication to sustainable energy solutions. On the sidelines, he will meet other ministers and dignitaries to discuss mutual interests and regional issues.
