Iranian Media Claims Hassan Nasrallah Safe Following Israeli Airstrike
Iranian media has reported that Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, is in good health following an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut. The attack, which was aimed at Hezbollah’s leadership, reportedly caused no harm to Nasrallah or other top figures, including Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council.
This comes after earlier reports suggested that Israeli warplanes had fired 15 missiles in the area, reducing several buildings to rubble. Lebanese media initially confirmed the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 76 others. However, Iranian media, citing its sources in Lebanon, firmly denies that any senior Hezbollah leader was affected by the strike.
Despite these reports, Hezbollah has not officially confirmed or denied Nasrallah’s status. The attack was initially rumored to have been coordinated with U.S. officials, but U.S. President Joe Biden later clarified that the U.S. had no knowledge or involvement in the strike.
