Iran Executes Alleged Mossad Cyber Chief for Espionage

Iran has executed Mohammad Amin Shaista, who was allegedly the head of a Mossad-linked cyber espionage team, for spying on behalf of Israel. According to semi-official news agency Tasnim, Shaista was arrested in late 2023 and charged with gathering sensitive intelligence for the Israeli spy agency Mossad.
Iran’s judiciary confirmed that a full criminal investigation and Supreme Court approval led to the execution. This marks at least the third execution carried out by Iran since Israeli airstrikes on June 13, targeting individuals accused of working with Mossad.
On the previous day, another agent, Majid Mousavi, was executed for attempting to leak classified nuclear data.
Iranian authorities assert that operations against foreign spies—especially those linked to Mossad—will continue, citing national security threats.
