India Blocks PM Shehbaz Sharif and ISPR’s YouTube Channels After Anti-India Speech

India has reportedly blocked access to the official YouTube channel of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and suspended the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)’s digital presence on YouTube and X (formerly Twitter). This crackdown followed PM Shehbaz Sharif’s recent speech at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, where he strongly criticized Indian state-sponsored propaganda and actions, particularly in the context of the alleged false flag operation in Pahalgam.

Sources suggest that the Indian government filed a formal complaint leading to the removal of the content and channel restrictions. YouTube confirmed the takedown, citing Indian government directives, but mentioned that the affected parties have the right to appeal.

In further developments, ISPR’s Director General, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, presented evidence of Indian terrorism and disinformation campaigns during press briefings on April 29 and 30, adding to the Indian government’s unease.

On May 1, Indian authorities escalated their digital clampdown by suspending ISPR’s YouTube and social media accounts and blocking access to several Pakistani news channels and high-profile figures. Analysts view this as part of a strategic attempt by India to silence voices that counter its global narrative.
