Imran Khan’s Sons in US for Family Lobbying, Not PTI’s Directive: Ali Muhammad Khan
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Ali Muhammad Khan has clarified that the visit of Imran Khan’s sons, Qasim and Suleman, to the United States is a family-level initiative, not an official party directive.
Speaking on Geo News, Ali Muhammad stated,
“Their visit is a personal family arrangement. PTI has not asked them to go to the US. Lobbying for their father’s release is their legitimate right.”
He expressed hope that the government will allow them to visit Pakistan as well. Reaffirming PTI’s principled stance of “Absolutely Not” against foreign interference, he said, “We sacrificed our government to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty.”
However, he added that the US is not an enemy, and that a balanced friendship should be maintained. Citing Imran Khan’s past reference to Trump’s neutrality toward PTI, he said even Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had once praised Trump by suggesting him for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Ali Muhammad also highlighted that Pakistan must be freed from the current authoritarian setup, and reiterated PTI’s position: no foreign power should interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs, no matter who is in power globally.
