In a scathing message from behind bars, former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan has launched a fierce attack on the ruling elite and Pakistan’s legal system. Speaking to party leaders and lawyers inside Adiala Jail, Khan revealed that he was pressured to back down for three years and accept the controversial 26th Constitutional Amendment, but boldly stated, “I will not remain silent for even 3 minutes on the command of any Yazid.”

He further asserted that the demand for an apology over the events of May 9 is misdirected. “Those who violated the sanctity of homes, insulted women, and jailed thousands should apologize, not me,” he said. He lamented the collapse of law and justice, stating that “no hour-long merit-based hearing would leave any May 9 cases standing.”

Khan also criticized the treatment of women associated with PTI, referencing the solitary confinement of his wife Bushra Bibi and the arrest of cancer survivor Dr. Yasmin Rashid. He condemned the judiciary’s paralysis post-26th Amendment, calling it an intentional move to protect rigged elections and keep PTI leadership imprisoned.

He urged the nation and party to prepare for peaceful protests and resist authoritarianism through the ballot box. “If justice is denied, peaceful protest is the only option left,” Khan emphasized, calling the current system a jungle rule.

He concluded with a strong message to party officeholders: “If I can endure jail, so can you. Anyone not performing will be removed from their post.”
