Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has refused to undergo a polygraph and voice matching test as part of the ongoing investigation into the May 9 cases. The investigation, led by DSP Javed Asif of the Lahore police, has seen its first round completed at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where Imran Khan is currently held.

During the 15-minute questioning session, DSP Javed Asif assured Khan of a just and thorough investigation. However, Imran Khan declined to participate in the polygraph and voice matching tests conducted by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency’s team. Khan stated that he is currently under investigation by multiple institutions and would only be able to allocate time for the police after these inquiries are concluded.

This refusal adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigations surrounding the events of May 9. The Lahore police are continuing their efforts to gather information and evidence in connection with the cases.

The decision by Imran Khan to decline the polygraph test underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement in navigating high-profile investigations involving prominent political figures.
