IHC Lifts Stay on £190m Case Verdict Against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has lifted the stay on delivering the final verdict in the £190 million case involving former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. The decision comes after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted records related to the closure of the Al-Qadir Trust case, providing these documents to Khan’s legal team.

During the hearing, the court, led by Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Babar Sattar, reviewed Khan’s application requesting access to the case closure documents. Khan’s request was granted, enabling his legal team to examine the details.

Previously, the IHC had issued a temporary stay preventing the trial court from delivering its final verdict. The court’s decision to lift this stay allows the trial court to move forward with the case’s resolution.

Imran Khan is accused of facilitating a £190 million transaction during his tenure as Prime Minister, with the NAB alleging that the funds were misappropriated. Khan’s legal team continues to argue the validity of the accusations, emphasizing that the Al-Qadir Trust, implicated in the case, is a legitimate and registered entity.
