ICC Delegation Reviews Gaddafi Stadium Preparations Ahead of Champions Trophy
The International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation visited Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore as part of its assessment of Pakistan’s preparations for the Champions Trophy. After inspecting the stadiums in Karachi and Rawalpindi, the delegation focused on the developmental work being carried out at Gaddafi Stadium. PCB officials guided the ICC team through the construction sites and training venues, providing detailed briefings on the progress and security measures in place.
The visit also included discussions about potential collaboration with the Safe City Authority to enhance security protocols for the tournament. A day earlier, the ICC delegation met with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad, where they expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made at Karachi and Rawalpindi stadiums.
The ICC team is now set to depart for Dubai after completing their review in Lahore, signaling their overall satisfaction with Pakistan’s readiness for hosting the Champions Trophy.
