Hajj 2025, Applications Close Today as Payment Details and Policies Announced
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that today, Tuesday, marks the final deadline for submitting applications for Hajj 2025 under the government scheme. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
A total of 179,210 Pakistanis are expected to perform Hajj next year. The cost per pilgrim has been set between Rs1,075,000 and Rs1,175,000. To apply, pilgrims must initially deposit Rs200,000. Once selected through balloting, another Rs400,000 must be submitted. The remaining amount will be due by February 10, 2025.
The Ministry has outlined strict refund policies. A Rs50,000 deduction will apply in case of cancellations, and Rs200,000 will be deducted if the third instalment is not paid. No refunds will be issued after February 10, 2025.
To provide additional support, the government has increased compensation for the heirs of deceased pilgrims from Rs1 million to Rs2 million. Moreover, 1,000 seats have been reserved for hardship cases, and 300 seats will be allocated for low-income employees registered under the Employees Old-Age Benefit Institution (EOBI).
The Ministry has urged aspirants to ensure timely submission of applications and payments to avoid any inconvenience.
