Former Pakistan cricket captain and team director Mohammad Hafeez has strongly criticized PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, saying that in the last three years no decision has been taken that could uplift Pakistan cricket.

Speaking on a private TV program, Hafeez said: “Since Mohsin Naqvi took charge, no meaningful steps have been taken to stabilize cricket. For the last three years, our cricket has not matched international standards. When we play against top teams, it looks like a mismatch, and shockingly, even their B or C teams defeat us.”

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry defended Naqvi over the recent Asia Cup controversy, claiming Pakistan demonstrated “moral superiority and sportsmanship.” However, senior sports journalist Mirza Iqbal Baig countered, questioning why the PCB insisted on removing a referee but later accepted an apology, leaving the nation confused.
