In a significant development for Pakistan’s digital payment ecosystem, Google Wallet has officially launched, offering users an efficient way to make online payments, in-app purchases, and contactless transactions using their smartphones. With the introduction of this mobile payment service, Pakistan is expected to see a shift toward safer, faster, and more accessible digital transactions.

- Open the Google Wallet app.
- Tap “Add a card” at the top.
- Accept the issuer’s terms and conditions.
- Complete the verification process.
- Once verified, your card will be ready to use for payments.
Supported Banks in Pakistan:
Google Wallet currently supports debit and credit cards from several major Pakistani banks, including:
- Bank AlFalah (Visa & Mastercard)
- Bank of Punjab (Mastercard credit cards)
- Faysal Bank Noor (Mastercard debit cards)
- HBL (Visa & Mastercard)

In addition to supporting bank cards, Google Wallet will also allow users to store loyalty cards and boarding passes, making it an even more versatile tool for both travel and shopping.
Future Integration and Support:
Google Wallet’s integration with popular Pakistani brands, such as Onic, Gul Ahmed, Sana Safinaz, J., and K-Electric, will allow users to make payments through Google Pay via PayFast. Additionally, airlines like Batik Air and Thai Airways will enable travelers to store boarding passes and receive real-time flight updates through the app.
Looking ahead, the integration with Safepay is expected to make contactless payments even more widespread, enabling more businesses in Pakistan to accept secure digital payments.
With all these developments, Google Wallet is poised to revolutionize the digital payments landscape in Pakistan, making financial transactions smoother, more secure, and more accessible for everyone.
