Gold Prices Surge by Rs600, Reaching Rs275,500 Per Tola in Pakistan

The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan has risen sharply by Rs600, with a single tola now costing Rs275,500, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This increase also affected the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold, which saw a Rs515 hike, bringing it to Rs236,197.

The rise in gold prices wasn’t limited to the local market. In the international market, gold prices surged, with the global rate reaching $2,653 per ounce—a $6 increase from the previous day.

While gold prices are on the rise, silver rates remained stable in the local market at Rs3,050 per tola, offering some respite to consumers. The rising gold prices reflect the broader trend of increasing global demand for safe-haven assets amidst economic uncertainty.
