Gold prices in Pakistan increase massively again
Gold prices in Pakistan saw another massive increase on Saturday, as global markets also experienced a rise in precious metal rates.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold fell by a massive Rs1,600 per tola, bringing it to Rs275,500, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,372, now standing at Rs236,197. Globally also, gold prices faced a jump, with rates rising by $16 during the day. According to the APGJSA, the international gold price stood at $2,656 per ounce.
Despite the hike in gold prices, the silver market remained stable, with the price of silver holding at Rs3,050 per tola.
Last month, gold prices in Pakistan had surged to a record high of Rs277,000 per tola, as the precious metal saw significant gains due to international market fluctuations.
