Gilani Pushes Digital Pakistan Agenda at GIK Convocation
Senate Chairman and senior PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gilani highlighted the government’s commitment to building a Digital Pakistan, citing technology zones as a top priority. Speaking at the 29th convocation of the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIK) in Swabi, he praised the rapid growth of Pakistan’s digital economy.
Gilani stated that Pakistan’s IT exports are expected to reach $5 billion this year, with revolutionary technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and IoT reshaping industries across the nation.
Addressing graduating students, he urged them to take a leading role in national progress through education, innovation, and tech-based skills. “Educated youth are the vanguard of a constructive, forward-looking society,” he said, calling on them to be the architects of Pakistan’s digital future.
