A 27-year-old German tourist, Berg Florine, faced a harrowing experience while camping near Lahore airport. Within the jurisdiction of the North Cantonment police station, Florine was approached by two armed men who forcefully took his expensive cell phone, cash, and a camera valued at five lac rupees.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred abruptly, and they quickly rushed Florine to the nearby Rangers hospital, where he received immediate medical assistance. Florine, visibly shaken by the ordeal, recounted that he had promptly informed the patrolling Dolphin Squad about the robbery. However, he claimed that instead of providing the necessary support, the officers demanded money to assist him, further adding to his distress.

This incident has sparked outrage among local and international communities, highlighting concerns about the safety of tourists and the conduct of law enforcement agencies in Pakistan. Authorities are being urged to take swift action to apprehend the culprits and address the allegations of misconduct within the Dolphin Squad.

The robbery and subsequent allegations underscore the need for improved security measures and accountability within the police force to ensure the safety and protection of both residents and visitors in Lahore.
