Garrett Wilson made a jaw-dropping one-handed, 26-yard touchdown catch, sparking the New York Jets to snap their five-game losing streak with a 21-13 victory over the Houston Texans. Wilson’s catch in the fourth quarter gave the Jets a lead that the Texans couldn’t overcome, marking a memorable night at MetLife Stadium.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw three touchdown passes, described Wilson’s game-changing play as “unbelievable.” The Jets were down 10-7 with third-and-19 when Rodgers launched the pass toward Wilson in the end zone. Wilson leapt and snagged the ball with one hand, mirroring Odell Beckham Jr.’s iconic 2014 catch against Dallas. Initially ruled incomplete, the play was challenged by interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. Video review confirmed Wilson’s shin was down, giving the Jets a 14-10 lead with just under 13 minutes left in the game.

The catch energized the Jets and their fans, setting the tone for a 37-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers to Davante Adams later in the game. Under Ulbrich, this win marked the first success in four games, giving the Jets a 3-6 record and fresh momentum.

Ulbrich reflected on the call: “I told the ref, for posterity’s sake, that had to be ruled in. It’s one for history.” With Wilson’s highlight-reel grab now part of the game’s narrative, fans are left wondering if this was the start of a turnaround for the Jets this season.
