Gang Arrested for Raping Women Under the Pretense of Employment
Lahore police have successfully dismantled a gang involved in luring women with the false promise of lucrative job opportunities, only to subject them to sexual assault. The group, led by individuals including Ayesha alias Iqra, Usman, and Naeem, targeted vulnerable women seeking employment.
In a recent case, the gang deceived a 20-year-old woman from Kahna, convincing her to travel to Murree with her nine-month-old daughter under the pretense of securing a job. Upon arrival, the criminals held the woman’s baby hostage and sexually assaulted her.
The woman’s husband, alarmed by the sudden disappearance of his wife and child, registered an abduction case at the Kahna police station. SSP (Investigation) Dr. Anush Masood stated that after an intensive investigation, police were able to rescue the woman and her child, leading to the arrest of the three suspects.
“The suspects have admitted to committing similar crimes with other women seeking employment,” the SSP revealed. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the gang’s criminal activities.
