Gallup Survey: KP Public Disappointed with PTI-Led Government

A recent Gallup Pakistan survey reveals widespread public dissatisfaction with the performance of the KP government under Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. The survey, based on 3,000 face-to-face interviews conducted across the province in Feb–Mar 2025, highlights growing frustration among citizens.
Only 63% of respondents reported access to healthcare, 66% lacked gas supply, and 49% experienced inadequate electricity. Among the youth, the situation is worse—77% lacked parks, 81% had no libraries, and 70% reported no access to community centers.
Development indicators showed a slowdown post-2024, with only 43% acknowledging improvement in roads and 37% in public transport. Furthermore, 52% believed development funds were lost to corruption.
Unemployment concerns also soared, with 59% citing joblessness and 73% claiming public sector jobs are given through connections rather than merit.
Public opinion on security was mixed. However, confidence in the judiciary was weak, while the traditional Jirga system received 84% approval.
The health card scheme received a positive response (83%), but interestingly, 80% supported restrictions on social media, and 75% claimed they didn’t trust it.
Chief Minister Gandapur’s popularity appears to be falling—50% of KP citizens favored Maryam Nawaz over him, including 37% PTI voters.
On Afghan refugees, 85% of respondents favored repatriation, and 79% believed it would improve security.
