Funds for PTI’s Peshawar Jalsa Spark Debate Over Priorities

A meeting chaired by KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in Peshawar reviewed preparations for PTI’s September 27 jalsa. Party sources revealed that MPAs in Peshawar will receive Rs. 500,000, MNAs Rs. 300,000, while out-district lawmakers will be allocated Rs. 700,000 each. In addition, PTI’s Youth Wing and Lawyers’ Forum will also receive Rs. 500,000 each.
CM Gandapur emphasized unity to make the jalsa a massive public show of strength. However, critics argue that at a time when citizens are facing inflation and power shortages, distributing large sums of money internally for political rallies raises serious concerns about priorities.
