Four FC Soldiers Martyred in Karak Ambush, Search Operation Launched

Four personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) were martyred on Wednesday when unidentified gunmen ambushed their vehicle in the Gurguri police station jurisdiction, located in the Amankot Toway area of Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to reports, the FC soldiers were returning from a routine field security duty when the attackers—believed to be lying in wait atop the nearby hills—opened indiscriminate fire on their moving vehicle. The intensity of the attack left no survivors, and all four soldiers embraced martyrdom on the spot.

Preliminary identification suggests that the martyred soldiers hailed from Lakki Marwat and Tank districts. Their bodies have been shifted to a nearby medical facility, and their families have been informed.

DPO Karak Shahbaz Elahi confirmed the incident to media outlets, stating that the area was immediately cordoned off and a comprehensive search operation has been launched in the surrounding Gurguri hills to track down the perpetrators.

The incident has triggered grief and anger across the province, with citizens and officials mourning the loss of brave defenders of the nation.
