Ford Mustang Mach-E Breaks World Record with 569-Mile Range on Single Charge

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has achieved a remarkable milestone by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance driven on a single charge by a production electric vehicle (EV). The record-breaking journey covered an impressive 569 miles (915 kilometers), surpassing the vehicle’s official range by 78%.

The feat was accomplished by expert drivers Kevin Booker and Sam Clark in England. The Mustang Mach-E used for this record-setting drive was equipped with a 91 kWh extended-range battery and a single rear-mounted motor. While the official range of this model is 320 miles (515 kilometers), the Mach-E managed to travel a staggering distance beyond this.

The drive was meticulously recorded and conducted on public roads, ensuring its recognition by the Guinness World Records. This achievement places the Mustang Mach-E as a significant contender in the EV market, although it still falls short of the Mercedes-Benz EQXX, which covered 747 miles (1202 kilometers) on a single charge in 2022. Unlike the EQXX, which is a concept vehicle with advanced aerodynamic features, the Mustang Mach-E is a production model.

In a noteworthy detail, the Mach-E continued to travel for an additional 21 miles (33 kilometers) even after the battery displayed a 0% charge, demonstrating the vehicle’s efficiency and reliability.
