Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has spoken out following the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which took the lives of 26 people, including foreign nationals. The incident, which occurred in the scenic Baisaran Valley, has shocked the global community.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Khan wrote:
“Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident. I stand in solidarity with the affected families and pray for their healing.”

The attack, carried out by gunmen at around 2:30 pm, is being described as one of the deadliest in the region in recent years. Reports indicate the involvement of The Resistance Front (TRF), linked to Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

As tensions between India and Pakistan surge once again, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has moved swiftly, citing national sentiment and security concerns. The organization reaffirmed its 2019 ban on Pakistani talent, and has consequently suspended the release of Abir Gulaal, a film starring Fawad Khan and Indian actress Vaani Kapoor, which was due for release on May 9.

FWICE stated:
“No collaboration with Pakistani artists will be tolerated. Any member found violating this will face strict disciplinary action. We will ensure ‘Abir Gulaal’ does not release in India.”

Fawad Khan’s team has not yet commented on the ban or the future of the film. However, the actor’s message highlights a personal plea for peace amid growing regional instability.
