Fawad Khan Begins Shooting for ‘Abir Gulaal’ in London, His First Bollywood Film in 7 Years
In a much-anticipated comeback, Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan has started shooting for his new Bollywood film “Abir Gulaal” in London, marking his return to Indian cinema after seven years. His last appearance in Bollywood was in the 2016 hit “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.”
“Abir Gulaal,” directed by Aarti S Bagdi and produced by Vivek Agrawal, stars Fawad Khan alongside Vaani Kapoor, making it their first on-screen pairing. The romantic drama revolves around two individuals struggling with their emotional turmoil. On Monday, the first look of the movie was revealed, featuring a serene image of Fawad and Vaani lying on the grass in an affectionate embrace, sparking excitement among fans.
The film’s production, which began on September 28, will continue in London until November 10, with additional scenes planned to be shot in Mumbai. Bollywood stars Malaika Arora and Ridhi Dogra will join the cast during the London schedule. Music, composed by a renowned Bollywood musician, is set to be a major highlight, with six original tracks performed by some of the industry’s top singers.
Fans of Fawad Khan, who made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with “Khoobsurat” and rose to prominence with “Kapoor & Sons,” have eagerly awaited his return, and “Abir Gulaal” promises to be a delightful treat.
