Fans Left Disappointed by Munna Bhaiya’s ‘Return’ in Mirzapur 3 Bonus Episode

Fans of the popular gangster drama ‘Mirzapur’ were eagerly awaiting the much-hyped bonus episode of the third season, released on August 30, 2024. Promoted as a special return of the fan-favorite character Munna Bhaiya, portrayed by Divyendu Sharma, the episode was expected to bring back the excitement and intensity that the series is known for. However, viewers were left disappointed as the episode turned out to be a collection of deleted scenes from the third season, rather than a true comeback for Munna.
The bonus episode begins with Munna Tripathi, who was killed off in ‘Mirzapur 2′, addressing the fans’ demand for his return. He acknowledges the stir his exit caused and hints at the episode being a reward for the fans’ loyalty. However, instead of a new storyline or a surprise twist, the episode showcases scenes that didn’t make the final cut of ‘Mirzapur 3’.
Among the deleted scenes are moments featuring Guddu Pandit at home and the efforts of Robin and Dimpy to free their father, Ramakant Pandit, from jail. Munna Bhaiya, in his signature style, offers humorous commentary throughout the episode, even suggesting he could have become a motivational speaker or a “dashing CM” if he hadn’t been killed off.
Despite the light-hearted moments, the 25-minute segment failed to deliver the thrill and suspense that fans have come to expect from the series. The episode ends with Munna Bhaiya teasing his return, stating, “My time is up. Don’t worry. I’ll keep coming back. There’s just one condition — keep sending your love for Mirzapur.”
