As Pakistan continues to battle extreme heatwaves, one citizen in Faisalabad has taken a compassionate and impactful step to protect one of the most affected communities — birds.

The campaign, titled “Offer Water, Save Birds,” encourages individuals to place water bowls and small amounts of food on rooftops, balconies, and trees to help birds survive the scorching temperatures. This initiative has already brought relief to thousands of birds in just a month.

In a time when animals often go unnoticed during natural crises, this movement serves as a wake-up call to all citizens to play their part. The campaign organiser emphasized the importance of empathy towards voiceless beings and urged others to join this noble cause.

“This is not just about birds,” he said. “It’s about building a society that values all life.”

People from various areas of Faisalabad have now started replicating the initiative, turning it into a growing citywide movement of kindness and compassion.
