Dubai Residents Advised to Prepare for Rainy Season to Prevent Power Outages
As Dubai prepares for the upcoming rainy season, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has advised residents to take preventive steps to ensure uninterrupted electricity. In a statement issued Monday, DEWA outlined a list of precautions that can help minimize the risk of power outages and maintain safe electrical systems throughout the season.
Among the recommended precautions, DEWA emphasized the importance of hiring certified electricians for regular maintenance. Waterproofing and insulating outdoor electrical systems, including panels and meter boxes, are crucial steps to prevent water damage that can lead to outages. Additionally, residents are encouraged to securely close electrical panels and replace any damaged glass on meter boxes to avoid exposure to moisture.
DEWA also reminded residents to check and seal roof conduits and inspect earthing cables for stability, ensuring they are prepared for any potential weather impact. DEWA continues to provide essential safety tips on its social media channels and official website, aiming to keep the community informed and safe.
