Deadlock Persists in Pakistan-Afghanistan Talks as Kabul Holds Tight Control
Sources confirm that talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Istanbul have reached a deadlock. Despite Pakistan presenting logical and justified demands, the Afghan Taliban delegation has not shown readiness to accept them completely.
Host countries reportedly agree that Pakistan’s demands are fair and necessary for regional stability. Interestingly, even the Taliban delegation privately acknowledges the validity of these points but continues to seek directions from Kabul before moving forward.
Pakistani negotiators have emphasized that acceptance of these demands serves the interests of both nations. However, Kabul’s reluctance and internal elements working on “another agenda” have prolonged the stalemate.
