Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian side, Al Nassr, will face Yokohama F-Marinos of Japan in the quarter-finals of the rebranded Asian Champions League. The match, set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, next month, will be a pivotal moment for the Portuguese legend as he aims for his first-ever title in Asia’s prestigious club competition.

Ronaldo, who has won the UEFA Champions League five times with clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United, has yet to claim an Asian Champions League title. His side Al Nassr will now face the formidable Yokohama F-Marinos, who were the runners-up in the previous season.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final of this year’s tournament will all be played over a single leg in Jeddah, with Al Nassr or Yokohama meeting the winners of the quarter-final between Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale and Al Sadd of Qatar.

In other quarter-final fixtures, Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, a four-time Asian champion, will take on South Korea’s Gwangju FC. The winner of this match will play either Thailand’s Buriram United or Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli in the semi-finals.

The quarter-finals are set to take place from April 25-27, with the semi-finals on April 29-30 and the final scheduled for May 3.

This year’s rebranded tournament, now called the Champions League Elite, promises to be a thrilling competition for all teams involved, especially for Ronaldo and Al Nassr as they aim for Asian glory.
