Court Reserves Decision on Bushra Bibi’s Bail as She Expresses Frustration, “No Justice Here”
In Islamabad, an additional sessions court reserved its verdict on pre-arrest bail requests filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan in six cases and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in a separate case. The court heard arguments from both sides and announced that the final verdict on Bushra Bibi’s bail plea would be revealed on November 18, alongside the hearing of Imran Khan’s six bail applications.
The presiding judge ordered that Imran Khan’s attendance be ensured via video link for the next hearing, instructing the jail superintendent to make necessary arrangements. During the proceedings, Bushra Bibi’s frustration became evident as she voiced her dissatisfaction with the legal proceedings. She expressed that she felt let down by the legal process, saying, “I will not come to this court anymore; there is only injustice here.”
Bushra Bibi also declared her readiness for imprisonment, remarking that her personal belongings were already prepared in her vehicle. Breaking into tears, she added that both she and her husband were enduring unfair treatment, lamenting, “There is no justice, I did not come for justice.” Her emotional outburst highlighted the tension surrounding the high-profile cases as Pakistan’s legal challenges involving political figures continue.
