Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that the sacrifices of martyrs at D-Chowk will not go in vain. Addressing the KP Assembly, he prayed for the forgiveness of those who lost their lives during the Islamabad protests and pledged justice for their sacrifices.

Gandapur highlighted the government’s decision to allow military intervention under Article 245 during the protest and drew comparisons to past tragedies like Anarkali and Model Town. He condemned the violence and alleged that bullets were fired at protesters, which he called a brutal act.

The Chief Minister also claimed that Punjab Police officers, when confronted by the mob, raised slogans in support of Imran Khan to save themselves. He suggested the federal government avoid pushing protesters to extremes that could lead to retaliation.

The KP Assembly session started three hours late under Speaker Babar Salim Swati and was adjourned after the Chief Minister’s address until Monday at 3 PM.
