Blast reported at Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak

A powerful explosion rocked Darul Uloom Haqqania, a prominent seminary in Nowshera, during Friday prayers, leaving multiple people injured, including Maulana Hamidul Haq.

Rescue officials reported that emergency teams have rushed to the scene, and the injured are being transported to nearby hospitals. Police believe the explosion was a suicide attack, with initial estimates of four to five injuries and one or two fatalities.

The Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police stated that Maulana Hamidul Haq was likely the target of the attack and is in critical condition. Due to existing security threats, around 25 security personnel were deployed at the site.

Darul Uloom Haqqania, often called the “University of Jihad,” was founded by Maulana Samiul Haq. Security forces have cordoned off the area, and investigations are underway to determine the perpetrators behind the attack.
