In reaction, Vijay Shah accused her of being the “sister of terrorists” and even went as far as saying, “Modi sent her in a military plane to help carry out attacks, and now our sisters are widows.”

The Congress Party has demanded Vijay Shah’s immediate resignation, calling his words “hate speech aimed at dividing the country and disrespecting a patriotic officer.” Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated, “This is not just a personal attack on Colonel Sophia, it’s an attack on the dignity of every soldier who serves India with pride.”
